How to connect to OPM

1. Make sure DayZ is up to date

Open Steam, right-click DayZ in your library, and select Properties → Updates. Make sure auto-update is on and DayZ is fully updated. If you haven't played in a while, this can take 10–30 minutes depending on your connection.

2. Subscribe to the OPM mod collection

OPM uses a curated stack of quality-of-life and immersion mods. We keep one Steam Workshop collection that auto-installs everything you need.

The link to the current OPM mod collection is pinned in our #server-info Discord channel. Click it, hit Subscribe to all, and Steam will start downloading the mods in the background.

3. Open DayZ Launcher

DayZ Launcher is the small window that opens when you launch DayZ from Steam. It looks like a server browser. If you see the regular DayZ menu, you're NOT in the Launcher — quit and re-launch from Steam.

4. Find OPM in the server list

1. Click the Servers tab.
2. In the search box, type Operation Monarch.
3. You should see two entries: OPM 1PP and OPM 3PP. Pick whichever perspective you want.
4. Right-click the server → Add to favourites so you can find it instantly next time.
5. Click Join. The Launcher will check your mods, install anything missing, then drop you in.

5. Direct connect (if the server browser is being weird)

If the server doesn't show up in the browser:

1. Click Servers → Direct Connect in DayZ Launcher.
2. Enter the IP and port from #server-info in our Discord.
3. Hit Connect.

6. First time joining? Read this

• You spawn on the coast with the standard DayZ loadout. From there, scavenge, loot, and survive.
• The trader safe zone is marked on the in-game map. You can buy and sell gear there using DayZ's currency mod.
• If you bought skins from our store, link your Steam in your profile first — your skins apply automatically when you next spawn or pick up the matching weapon.
• Server restarts every 4 hours. You'll get a 5-minute warning in chat. Logout safely when you see it.
• Type /help in chat for in-game commands.

Troubleshooting

"Wrong version" or "You were kicked: bad mod version"

Your mods are out of date. Re-subscribe to the OPM collection, let Steam update, then rejoin.

"Battleye not running"

1. Quit DayZ.
2. Browse to your DayZ install folder → BattlEye.
3. Run Install_BattlEye.bat as admin.
4. Re-launch DayZ.

Server is full

Either wait in queue (we don't kick AFK players from the queue — you'll join when a slot opens) or grab a Priority Pass from our store to skip the line.

Can't see chat

Press / on your keyboard to bring up the chat input. Press . to switch between channels (Global, Direct, Vehicle, Side).
