Install the mods

Subscribe to our DayZ Steam Workshop collection. DayZ Launcher will auto-download and verify every mod. Takes about 5 minutes on a decent connection.

Connect to OPM

Search for Operation Monarch in DayZ Launcher, or direct-connect via our IP. Hit join, hit play, and load into Chernarus on the next wipe-cycle restart.

Survive and thrive

Loot up, link your Steam to track stats, and climb the leaderboard. Want a custom skin? Hit the store and we'll deliver it in-game via Discord ticket.

About the server

The DayZ server you wish you'd found years ago.

Operation Monarch (OPM) is a community-run DayZ server hosted on dedicated bare-metal infrastructure, designed for players who love the harsh survival gameplay of vanilla DayZ but want the polish that modern hosting and good moderation can bring. We strike the balance between the punishing realism the game is famous for and the quality-of-life improvements that respect your time.

Whether you're a solo lone-wolf surviving off improvised gear in Cherno, a duo running coastal towns for fresh-spawn loot, or a fully geared squad raiding bases at the NWAF, OPM is built to make your run feel meaningful. Every kill counts, every death stings, and every base you build is yours to defend.

We're a UK-based DayZ community first and a server second. The server exists to serve the community — not the other way around. That means transparent rules, active admins, regular AMAs, scheduled wipes, and zero tolerance for cheating or pay-to-win mechanics.

How do I join the servers?

Open DayZ Launcher and search for "Operation Monarch". You'll see the two server entries below — favourite them and click Join. Where do I sell collectables and sellables?

You sell collectables and reskinned 2-Tap weapons at the Black Market trader. Hightier traders won't accept these — Black Market only.

Where do I get Tappers?

Tappers (1-hit snipers) drop from a variety of sources: Red Keycard rooms, Orange Keycard rooms, Convoys, and Hacked Crates. You can also purchase them from the High Tier Trader. From Season 9 onwards, Tappers will be purchased using Bitcoin.

Why can't I sell collectables at the High Tier Trader?

You can only sell collectables and sellables at the Black Market trader. The High Tier Trader is for the Mystery Box and the Tapper traders. High Tier is also the only place you can purchase Tapper ammo.

Which guns are Tappers? (1-hit snipers)

50-AP, 20MM, EMP, and 30MM. These calibers are 1-hit kills no matter where they land — that's why they're called Tappers.

What's the group limit?

4 group max for Season 9. That's 4 players ON at once — clan hopping is allowed, so you can rotate through groups, but only 4 of you can be active in the same group at any given time.

Are we allowed to team-swap to play with a different group for a bit of PvP?

Yes! There's no cooldown on joining groups — just make sure someone is in the group on your flag pole, otherwise it'll despawn.

I'm getting a PBO error!

Make sure your OPM Melkart Server pack and your OPM Vehicles mods are always up to date. If they are, verify all mods through DayZ Launcher to be sure. If it's still happening, drop a ticket in #help on Discord.

Where do these keys go?

Each key's location is listed in its in-game item description. The Black Key is hidden somewhere on the map — hint: middle area.

How long until keys / keycards reset?

Keycards reset every 1 hour 30 minutes. Keys reset every 30 minutes. Plan your runs around the timer.

Are weapon skins pay-to-win?

No. Every item in the OPM store is purely cosmetic. Skins do not change weapon stats, recoil, ammo, or reload speed. We are firmly committed to a fair playing field — your wallet should not give you a tactical advantage. Sales fund hosting and keep the server ad-free.

How do skin purchases get delivered in-game?

When you complete a Stripe checkout, our system creates a private Discord ticket thread, pings our admin team, and links the order to your Steam account. An admin will deliver the skin in-game (usually within minutes during peak hours, up to 24 hours otherwise) and mark the order as fulfilled. You'll get a notification in Discord when it's ready.

Can I get a refund on store purchases?

Yes, within reason. If your order has not yet been delivered in-game, we'll refund it in full. If it has been delivered, refunds are reviewed case-by-case. Full policy is on our /refunds page.

Do I need a Steam account to play OPM?

Yes — DayZ is a Steam-only game, so you need both Steam and a legitimate copy of DayZ. To use the OPM website (link your Steam profile, view stats, buy skins), you sign in with Discord first, then link your Steam ID via OpenID. Both are required for the full experience.
