Operation Mon Rach (OPM) is a community-run DayZ server hosted on dedicated UK metal, designed for players who love the harsh survival gameplay of vanilla DayZ but want the polish that modern hosting and good moderation can bring. We strike the balance between the punishing realism the game is famous for and the quality-of-life improvements that respect your time.

Whether you're a solo lone-wolf surviving off improvised gear in Cherno, a duo running coastal towns for fresh-spawn loot, or a fully geared squad raiding bases at the NWAF, OPM is built to make your run feel meaningful. Every kill counts, every death stings, and every base you build is yours to defend.

We're a UK-based DayZ community first and a server second. The server exists to serve the community — not the other way around. That means transparent rules, active admins, regular AMAs, scheduled wipes, and zero tolerance for cheating or pay-to-win mechanics.

What is Operation Mon Rach?

Operation Mon Rach (OPM) is a UK-hosted DayZ community server running on Chernarus +. We focus on hardcore survival gameplay with a curated mod stack, custom loot tables, an active admin team, and a strong Discord community. The server is suitable for solo players, duos, and squads.

Is OPM a hardcore or casual DayZ server?

OPM leans hardcore. Loot is rare, NVGs are gated, and food/water/illness mechanics are tuned for slow-burn survival. That said, we add quality-of-life improvements — like Code Lock for bases and Dr. Jones Trader — so your time is respected. We are not a hardcore military RP server, and we are not a fully looted PvP arena. We sit in the middle, leaning toward authenticity.

Is the server first-person or third-person?

Both. We run dedicated 1PP and 3PP versions of the server so you can choose how you want to play. Stats, leaderboards, and your store-purchased skins are linked to your Steam ID and follow you across both.

How do I connect to the OPM DayZ server?

Open DayZ Launcher, search for "Operation Mon Rach" in the server list, and join. You'll need to subscribe to our Steam Workshop mod collection — DayZ Launcher will prompt you and handle the install automatically. Direct-connect IP and port are also published in our Discord #server-info channel.

Are weapon skins pay-to-win?

No. Every item in the OPM store is purely cosmetic. Skins do not change weapon stats, recoil, ammo, or reload speed. We are firmly committed to a fair playing field — your wallet should not give you a tactical advantage. We sell skins to fund hosting and keep the server running ad-free.

How do skin purchases get delivered in-game?

When you complete a Stripe checkout, our system creates a private Discord ticket thread, pings our admin team, and links the order to your Steam account. An admin will deliver the skin in-game (usually within minutes during peak hours, up to 24 hours otherwise) and mark the order as fulfilled. You'll get a notification in Discord when it's ready.

How often does the server wipe?

We run a scheduled wipe roughly every 12–16 weeks. Wipes are announced two weeks in advance in Discord and on this site. Stats reset between wipes by default, but persistent leaderboards track all-time records so your achievements aren't lost.

Can I play OPM solo, or do I need a squad?

Solo is absolutely viable. We have plenty of solo players, and our Discord has a #lfg (looking-for-group) channel if you want to find a duo or squad. Group dynamics on OPM are organic — no enforced clans or factions.

What anti-cheat does OPM use?

We run BattlEye (DayZ's built-in anti-cheat) plus a custom layer of CFTools-driven monitoring. Our admins actively patrol via CFTools GameLabs, review kill logs, and respond to reports through Discord. Confirmed cheaters are banned permanently within minutes — we have a zero-tolerance policy.

Can I get a refund on store purchases?

Yes, within reason. If your order has not yet been delivered in-game, we'll refund it in full. If it has been delivered, refunds are reviewed case-by-case. Full policy is on our /refunds page — TL;DR: we're not trying to scam you.

Do I need a Steam account to play OPM?

Yes — DayZ is a Steam-only game, so you need both Steam and a legitimate copy of DayZ. To use the OPM website (link your Steam profile, view stats, buy skins), you sign in with Discord first, then link your Steam ID via OpenID. Both are required for the full experience.

Is OPM affiliated with Bohemia Interactive?

No. OPM is an independent, fan-run community server. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bohemia Interactive a.s. — the makers of DayZ. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
