About Operation Monarch
OPM is a community-driven DayZ project — built by survivors, for survivors. We run a heavily modded server with custom traders, a real economy, weekend raiding, custom keycards and a no-nonsense admin team.
What OPM is
Operation Monarch (OPM) is the home of two flagship DayZ servers — Operation Monarch WIP for full-loop survival and Operation Monarch DMfor fast-paced PvP map rotations. We're focused on hardcore-but-fair gameplay: custom mods, a real in-game economy, weekend-only raiding windows, and an admin team that actually shows up when you open a ticket.
What makes OPM different
- Custom mod stack. OPM Melkart Server pack, OPM Vehicles, expanded base building, hacked crates, convoys and a deep keycard / loot tier system. Every mod is curated — nothing breaks server balance.
- Real economy. Three trader tiers — Black Market, High Tier and standard — each with their own role. Tappers, collectibles, mystery boxes, tapper ammo and bitcoin (Season 9) all have their own loop.
- Weekend raiding. Raids are restricted to Saturday and Sunday, 1 PM – 11 PM EST, with strict tier-by-tier breaching charge counts. Predictable for builders, exciting for raiders.
- Group cap of 4 (Season 9). No mega-clans rolling the map. Team-swapping is allowed, no cooldown — just keep someone in your group on the flag pole.
- Fair admins. Every report needs a clip or screenshot. Every appeal gets reviewed. Cheaters get permabanned; everyone else gets context.
- Cosmetic-only store. Skins on this site are 100% cosmetic. No P2W, no stat boosts, no hidden buffs. Sales fund server hosting and keep us ad-free.
The community
OPM lives in our Discord server. 1,300+survivors and counting. Patch notes, raid callouts, comp tickets, mod help, base showcases, screenshot competitions and the occasional convoy alert all happen there. If you play OPM, you should be in the Discord — that's where 90% of the community lives.
The team
OPM is run by a small admin team led by the founders. Owners handle direction and infrastructure, head admins handle player reports and bans, and moderators handle in-Discord help. We're all volunteers — tickets are answered when we're free, but we target under 24 hours for everything except cheat bans (instant) and store deliveries (under 24 hours, usually minutes).
Project history
OPM started as a small group of friends who wanted DayZ the way DayZ used to be — punishing, social, and rewarding. Over the past few seasons we've grown into a proper community, added custom mods, launched a second PvP-focused server, built our own store with cosmetic skins, and migrated to a dedicated VPS to host the website, Discord bot and admin dashboard end-to-end.
How we're funded
OPM is a hobby project. Server hosting, the mod stack, this website, our domain and the Stripe processing fees all cost real money. We don't run ads. We don't sell P2W. The only income source is the cosmetic skin store on this site, and every cent of it goes back into keeping OPM online and improving the experience.
